  • Introduction

    Mr. Sherr has decades of relevant experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, copyright registrations, licensing, litigation, appellate proceedings, and legislative proceedings. Mr. Sherr's extensive experience negotiating, reviewing, and drafting licensing, joint development, and non-disclosure agreements for multinational corporations, medium size businesses, and small businesses is invaluable to our clients. Mr. Sherr's focus on patent transactions is a great asset to our clients at all stages of intellectual property protection.

    In 1998, upon graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Sherr began his career as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), gaining invaluable experience into the inner workings and culture of the all-powerful USPTO. Our clients get great benefit from these experiences.

    Since 2000, upon leaving government service, Mr. Sherr has worked as a Patent Agent and Patent Attorney in private practice involving thousands of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Although Mr. Sherr focuses on the electrical, computer software, and mechanical arts, our experience encompasses all areas of intellectual property protection.

    Throughout much of Mr. Sherr's career, he has worked as a Licensing Executive in conjunction with legal services. This includes significant experience in high stakes patent litigation activities including strategy development, litigation management, settlement negotiations, discovery, appeals, and all other substantive aspects. These experiences have brought Mr. Sherr outside of United States to countries such as Korea, China, Japan, Norway, Austria, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Poland, Singapore, and Australia.
